The Risk of Generic AI in Healthcare
General-purpose chatbots such as ChatGPT or Gemini are built to write fluently, not to stay faithful to the record. Asked to “clean up” a session note, they can fill gaps with plausible details that never happened, reword text in ways that break your EHR’s formatting and, without a Business Associate Agreement, put PHI into a tool that is not covered for it.

Format Protection (DOM Mapping)
Accepted fixes are written back in place, replacing only the text you approved inside the note’s editable fields. AbaAiCheck never rewrites the page’s HTML, so your EHR’s tables, checkboxes and layout stay intact. Anything it cannot place safely is flagged for you to paste manually.

Anti-Hallucination Guardrails
When a required detail is missing (prompt level, duration, reinforcer…), the AI is instructed to insert an interactive [specify: …] bracket instead of guessing. Our server double-checks every suggestion: fixes must quote your note word for word, and any number that is not in your note becomes a bracket. Syncing is blocked until the clinician completes every bracket.
Privacy by Design
HIPAA-aligned, with a Business Associate Agreement included and encryption in transit and at rest. The extension reads the note in real time for the review and does not keep a copy of it. We never use your notes to train AI models.
